As a vocal teacher, they believe in the union of healthy vocal technique, mental focus, and emotional awareness working in harmony to produce a sound and experience that is vibrant, truthful and unique to each individual singer.
Paul's expertise is for those wishing to or currently pursuing musical theatre at any level. Topics covered can include vocal health, audition technique, song interpretation, audition and callback coaching and music preparation.
Paul’s previous masterlcass teaching experience includes The Interlochen Arts Center, The New York Film Academy, Ann Arbor Public Schools, The Maltz Jupiter Conservatory for the Performing Arts, and The University of Michigan's Musical Theatre program.
Each lesson starts with a check in to discuss goals of the lesson, guided breathing exercises followed by vocal warm-ups and exercises, and concluding with work on specific repertoire chosen by the student.
Paul is a certified yoga instructor and incorporates elements of yoga into their lessons.
Beginning chord-based piano lessons can also be included.
